THE week opened with the bridge players in action on Wednesday before Friday’s business meeting. Matters arising from the Treasurer’s report included the increasing cost of the sundry items the members use each week, such as refreshments and office costs. A motion to increase the meeting entrance from $2 to $3 effective immediately was proposed and accepted unanimously. Future activities discussed included an excursion to Healesville RSL for Morning Melodies on Tuesday. October 14. The entertainment is a Shirley Bassey tribute. A list is on the front desk for those interested in adding their names. June won the FoodWorks voucher. After the formalities, the members enjoyed a Bingo session then refreshments. Th members completed the afternoon with games of 500 and UNO. New members are always welcome. Head along on a Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, stay safe and keep smiling.
