THE Marysville Lions Club hosted a community dinner on the evening of Wednesday, September 30 at the Marysville Recreation Centre. The well-attended event was an opportunity to meet up with neighbours and friends, and to hear from community groups and organisations. People were invited to bring a dish to share for the ‘pot luck’ style dinner, and there are certainly some good cooks in the area. There were games for the children, as well as a chocolate wheel where people could win prizes. Community groups were invited to set up tables at the event, where people could browse and ask questions during the evening. The Marysville Triangle Community Men’s Shed was particularly notable for their display of excellent woodwork. The attendees very much enjoyed the evening and are looking forward to the next one.
