THE Alexandra Heritage Machinery Festival was held on the weekend of October 3 and 4 on the grounds of the hosts, the Alexandra Timber Tramway and Museum (ATTM). Although there had been much rain in the preceding days, fortunately the weather stayed largely dry during the event. A good crowd was in attendance, including many children keen to explore the way things were done in the past. The exhibitors included Eildon & District Woodworkers Guild (The Woodies), Stationary Engine enthusiasts, the Yarra Valley Machinery Preservation Society, Australian Organ Mechanic Society and Harry Furguson Tractor Club of Australia. Congratulations to all involved in running the event. It was a fun day out for everyone. NEW GENERATION: Spiros exploring the technology of old.
