WITH predicted rain for Saturday only 13 men contested the Monthly Medal at Yea Golf Club. Shining through the event was Phil Armstrong (18) with 86 off the stick nett 68. Second was Anthony La Grutta (16) nett 71, third with nett 75 was Rick Wills (11). Phil was also nearest the pin on the second and he and Alan Pell won the putting with 24 putts each. Paul Heyen won the Club Award. The Ladies’ Monthly Medal was won by Sharon Grogan (23) with a nett 76. Last Wednesday’s Stableford saw Luke Gregory (8) with 35 points win from Mic Spagnolo (10), Gary Pollard (15) and Anthony La Grutta (16) all on 32 points. Brian Simmons was nearest the pin on the second and Alan Pell won the Club Award. The Ladies’ Stableford was won by Khai M-Noor (38) with a fine 35 points from Sharon Grogan (23) 31, Judie Newman (39) 27 and Miranda Gill (18) 27.
