Pyalong 8/187 defeated Alexandra 10/105
SATURDAY, February 17 saw Alexandra A grade cricketers take the long drive to Pyalong for round 14. Pyalong won the toss and electing to bat.
N Hendricks and W Ellis took the new ball for Alexandra, which saw W Ellis take first blood in the second over, with a great in-swinging delivery which hit Pyalong’s Matt Pratt on the pads to be dismissed for 0.
From there, Pyalong knuckled down with J Pryor and D Snowden putting on a partnership of 66. Alexandra captain L Ronalds and club president D Waixel were the next change in bowlers which saw captain Levi take the wicket of Pyalong captain J Pryor with a blinder of a catch off his own bowling. D Waixel put on a great display of bowling from the opposite end but was unlucky with Alexandra dropping two catches off his bowling. Pyalong again played strong making their way to 3/112.
M Waixel and J crane were the next to take the ball. Both started very strong but it was J Crane who got the break through, clean bowling Pyalong’s D Snowden who put on a strong 55. Very next ball J Crane hit Pyalong’s number six on the top and was given….
