MURRINDINDI Shire had recorded three new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. One was located in postcode 3714 (Alexandra area) and two in postcode 3763 (Kinglake area).

There are currently 25 active cases of COVID-19 in Murrindindi Shire.

Victoria recorded 11,311 new cases in the last 24 hours, and tragically 34 more lives were lost. 851 people are currently in hospital, 30 of whom are currently ventilated.

39 per cent of people aged over 18 have received their third vaccination dose. If you haven’t already booked your booster shot, contact your local pharmacy or GP.

People who have symptoms or are close contacts are reminded that Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) are available at Alexandra District Health. PCR tests are also available. RAT tests are likely to become more widely available in coming weeks at a variety of locations including pharmacies.
