Murrindindi vaccination rate needs to improve – 27 September data

THE Australian Department of Health has provided updated data regarding the vaccination rates by local government area.

The data is based on the Medicare address of the vaccine recipient, and relates to the data as at September 27.

The new data was released after the current edition of the newspaper went to print.

The following data compares Murrindindi Shire with surrounding areas.

  • Murrindindi – 79.9% first dose, 50.9% second dose
  • Mansfield – 86.7% first dose, 53.7% second dose
  • Alpine – 86.7% first dose, 58.7% second dose
  • Yarra Ranges – 78.2% first dose, 46.7% second dose
  • Nillumbik – 88.2% first dose,  57.9% second dose
  • Strathbogie – 86.6% first dose, 57.4% second dose
  • Mitchell – 78.4% first dose, 46.1% second dose

Of the 33 inner regional shires in Victoria, Murrindindi is at 28th position for second dose (50.9%). Queenscliffe is in first place with 83.4%.
