Under 13

Yea 21 defeated Alexandra Black 10

FIRST home game of the season and the sun was shining and so were the under 13 Tigers.

The focus of the game was tight defence with hands over the ball.

The first quarter was an even affair both on the court and on the scoreboard with Yea only just pipping Alexandra Black by one goal, five to six.

The second quarter saw Yea stretch the lead out to seven with some free-flowing ball movement through the mid court and the reinforcement of the days focus, defensive pressure.

The rolling substitutes worked to Yea’s advantage and all girls got an equal share of court time due to the depth that these young netballers are already….

Under 15

Yea 36 defeated Alexandra Black 9

THE weather was magnificent in Yea for the Tiger’s second round match against Alexandra Rebels Black.

This provided its own challenge with several players certainly feeling the heat.

The Tigers came out strong with Maya and Marley in the goals scoring 12 goals in the first quarter and Sienna and Micayla holding the Rebels to two.

A second quarter change saw Sophie in the centre to assist with working the ball from end to end.

The Tigers continued to build on their lead outscoring the Rebels again.

At half time the Tigers had the lead at 20 to seven.

The third quarter saw Maya and Ella working in the goals to further advance the tigers while in…….
