Volunteer Expo highlights the shire’s volunteer organisations

MURRINDINDI Shire Council’s (MSC) Volunteer Expo took place last Saturday, giving volunteer organisations from around Murrindindi Shire the opportunity to highlight the incredible work they undertake and potentially interest new members.

The event took place at the Alexandra Football Netball Club rooms, running from 1 to 5pm, and included tea, coffee, and snacks.

Volunteer organisations in attendence included Landcare, CFA, SES, Ambulance Victoria, U3A, Rotary, Lions, Foundation Murrindindi, Murrindindi Beanie and Fibre Festival, Murrindindi Carers Support Group, Yea Arts, Alexandra Community Hub, visitor information centres from around the shire, and more.

A Community Capacity Bulding Program undertaking on the part of MSC, a grant from the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA)….
