Yea 0.1-1 defeated by Nagambie 12.10-88

A FOGGY start to the home game against Nagambie this week with Under 12 player Toby Johnston captaining the side for his 50th game and winning the toss.

The Tigers got off to a good start, with a chance to score via Ollie who just missed a goal. Short on numbers, our Tigers played hard, with their never give up attitude for the entire game. Darby had a terrific game, despite a hard knock to the head, and Rory once again took on ruck for majority of the game, while running the entire ground.

Toby Johnston ran hard all day, taking possessions and chasing down the opposition, as did Charlie Grant who is ever reliable in defence.

Toby Geeson was set a task by coach Al to take on ruck and use his body in the final quarter and he followed through. It was great to have Archie back from injury, and although he was still in recovery, he put in a top effort.

Sienna and Hudson ran hard in the midfield, and Judd and Fox were reliable in the backline. Josh and Logan (stepping up from playing under 10’s) once again had consistent games.

Despite the strength of the opposition, the Tigers never dropped their heads, encouraged each other and put in a strong game of defensive footy with a result…
