UGLN building nesting boxes post-fire

THE Upper Goulburn Landcare Network ran a nesting box building workshop last Friday with students from Sacred Heart Primary School in Yea, to support the fire affected local wildlife community.

The small group of children, including a couple from directly fire-impacted families, built eight nesting boxes designed for small marsupials and birds.

These will be installed by Landcare Intrepid groups, being the category of teenage to young adult Landcarers, throughout the region of the Black Range, Yarck, Molesworth, etcetera, on public and private land, to help provide habitat for animals that lost their homes over the summer.
