PEDESTRIAN Barb Doyle (65) from Alexandra, named with the permission of her family, died on Tuesday, April 28 at the intersection of Grant and Downey Streets in Alexandra after being struck by a vehicle.

Emergency services were called to reports of the collision at the intersection just before 12.30pm. Barb was treated by paramedics but sadly died at the scene.

The driver, a 77 year old Alexandra man, was not injured. He was interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
