A Stawell Gift to Highlands local post-bushfires

OVER 50 years ago, Highlands local Bernard (Bernie) Moss claimed victory in the 1973 Stawell Gift running race, for which he received a sash and medal and recognition.

Following the loss of his home and subsequently his commemorative memorabilia in the Longwood fire, the Stawell Gift Committee made a special trip to Yea to present him with a new sash and medal.
