A busy term of achievement at Alexandra Secondary College

AS term four draws to a close at Alexandra Secondary College (ASC), students have continued to demonstrate dedication, talent and pride in representing the college across a wide range of sporting events.

Earlier this term, 11 students participated in the Benalla Clay Target Shooting Competition, accompanied by parent helpers Stu Coward and Ben Clark. The event provided a valuable opportunity for students to experience the precision, focus and adrenaline associated with competitive clay target shooting.

Alexandra Secondary College was also proudly represented at the School Sport Victoria State Cross Country Championships, held at the Yarra Valley Racecourse.

To qualify for this elite level, athletes must finish in the top 12 at both the Southern Ranges and Hume Cross Country events. Congratulations to Levi Campbell who placed 33rd with a time of 11:46, Marli Coller who placed 31st with a time of 14:32, and Koa Parker who achieved an exceptional eighth place with a time of 12:28.

Nineteen students competed in the Hume Secondary School Regional Track and Field Finals. It was an outstanding day for the college, with numerous personal bests recorded. ASC athletes secured nine first places, five second places and 10 third places, culminating in an impressive 10th place overall out of 40 secondary schools in the region.
