Alexandra Opportunity Shop generosity shines

THE Alexandra Opportunity Shop has completed its first round of donations for 2025.

The Board received requests from local groups and was pleased to be able to respond to most of these.

At the same time continued support was given to organisations to which the Op Shop has donated over many years.

The total donations for this round were $27,495.00.

Donations were made to the following groups: Darlingford Upper Goulburn Nursing Home received $10,000 towards the purchase of a patient hoist and other equipment.

CEO Donna Walsh was most grateful for the donation which would allow them to purchase equipment that would assist staff and clients.

Alexandra Heated Pool Inc received $7750 for equipment including Hydro rider FOW fitness mats and an Instructor’s course.

President Sam Hicks and Aquatic Manager Elly Gambrell were excited to be able to add these items to the very popular Alexandra Heated Pool. The Alexandra Opportunity Shop Board and volunteers acknowledge the pool’s contribution to the health, safety and wellbeing of community members of all ages.

Alexandra SES received $5000 which will be used to continue and assist with the fabulous work that our SES volunteers carry out throughout the shire and beyond.
