Ava Hill (7) from Alexandra has raised an amazing total of $4121 for charity by chopping off  her lovely long locks.

She was raising the funds for Wigs for Kids, a charity which helps to relieve the financial burden on families whose children are being treated for cancer.

Kirsty from Nadine and Co hairdressing cut Ava’s hair on Monday, October 18, with Ava’s family watching on.

Ava initially planned to raise $1000, but was thrilled to have raised more than four times the target amount. The 30cm of hair which was cut off is also being sent to make wigs for children with cancer.

Well done Ava!
