Monday Triples

THE Monday Triples at Yea Bowls Club was generously sponsored by Yea Garden Centre for the month of January. Despite being a hot day last Monday, January 26, a good number turned out to play a shortened schedule.

There were just two games of eight ends instead of the usual three, so that the club finished before the real heat kicked in. The only two game winners were: Brett Reece, Maree Brennan and Rob Marks.

Barefoot Bowls – Oh what a night

Barefoot Bowls began on Sunday, February 1 with a huge turnout, which exceeded all expectations. It was a fantastic night, meeting new people, lots of fun, good music and even some good bowling.

Yea Pennant

Yea Pennant had a great day on Saturday, January 24, with a convincing win over East Shepparton. Starting early due to the forecasted heat, Yea got off to a strong start and held a comfortable overall lead for the whole day.

Saturday, January 31, saw Yea travel to Tatura Hill Top to play Pennant. The match started at 9.30am due to the predicted heat conditions.

Despite the greens being lightning fast, Yea remained very competitive with….
