AT the Murrindindi Shire Council meeting, held on Wednesday, February 28, councillors approved a number of grants under their Grants and Sponsorship program.

They noted that following grants were made under delegation: Alexandra Events Corp Ltd for the Alexandra Pro Rodeo were awarded $2500, Yea Arts Inc were awarded $1071 for Bringing Garry Starr to Yea Town Hall, Alexandra and District Traders and Tourism Association were awarded $1897 to upgrade the Alexandra Information Centre Computer System, and the Rotary Club of Alexandra were awarded $2500 for the Rotary Club of Alexandra 54th Easter Art Show.

The grants declined under delegation were Kinglake Ranges Neighbourhood House for the Kinglake Opportunity Shop Repurposing, Upcycling and Recycling program and The Lake Eildon Rowing Club’s Learn to Row Program.
