Eildon Primary School going from strength to strength

GREAT things are happening at Eildon Primary.

The school has again attained outstanding results in this year’s NAPLAN, with every student in grade three and five achieving results in the ‘strong’ category for reading.

Some of the school’s senior class students have recently been selected to participate in the Victorian High Ability Program.

This will progress their already advanced literacy and numeracy skills to the next level.

The school hosted the Cathedral Cluster Cross Country Carnival last week, with all schools in the cluster attending for a fantastic day.

The students competed in an enthusiastic and fair manner, enjoying each other’s company and the delicious sausage sizzle cooked by the Parents Club and the Lions of Eildon.

Jaclyn Symes visit

On Friday, May 10, Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes visited the school, and commented on how beautiful the school’s ground are.

Principal Jai Harrington told Ms Symes how excited they are about getting the school upgrade project up and running.

Jai said, “The whole thing has been great.

It was an unusual process as in we designed it and then wait to see if it was going to happen or not.

Lucky for us it has happened and it’s going to make a huge difference to the place… The pace of the project has been great. We have thought of a few things and…
