Happy Birthday to Ray Norris

RAY Norris has celebrated his 90th Birthday with a gathering of four generations of family and many friends on Saturday, April 12 at the Alexandra Masonic Hall.

In all, there were near to 100 people in attendance including daughter Sandy from Queensland, eldest son Peter from Alexandra, daughter Colleen from Mildura and youngest son Gary from Somerville and their respective families.

Ray was born and bred in Alexandra and worked locally all his working life commencing in the logging industry, as well as running several businesses.

His children describe their father as having a great commitment and love for his Masonic Lodge as well as his family and friends.

They say he has always been a caring and kind person who is known for his cheekiness and sense of humour.
Ray is still an active member of the Masonic Lodge and he still attends several meetings a month, his connection with the lodge dates back many decades.

Mr Van Lernanberg from the Euroa Masonic Lodge congratulated Ray on reaching such a milestone and commended him on his length of service with the Lodge.
