Impressive win for Yea Junior Netballers

LAST week focus of the Yea under 13 was driving forward and getting in front of their players, and aiming to only pass to those driving forward.

With a full side returning the positional possibilities were endless and the Yea girls took on every job whether it be on or off the court with enthusiasm whilst cheering and supporting each other.

Impenetrable defence in the first and third quarters kept St Marys scoreless whilst the quick turnovers were capitalised with some impressive goaling by the Tigers.

Under 15 Netball

YEA turned on the sunshine again for the Tigers match against the St Mary’s Saints last weekend.

A few of the players were away for the week and the coach, Megan, used the opportunity to trial some new combinations.

Ella and Maya worked well in goals to score an impressive 20 goals in the first quarter while our team of goal defenders, Micayla and Sienna prevented St Mary’s from scoring in the first term.

Some minor changes in the second quarter saw our attackers stay in attacking positions and the defenders also all remaining in defence positions.

Jemma was solid in Centre, moving the ball well throughout the entire court.

Lily stepped into goal defence for the first time this year and enjoyed working with Sienna.
