THE District Nursing Service at Yea and District Memorial Hospital (YDMH) is entering an exciting new chapter, one focused on growth, quality and accessibility.

With an increasing need for in-home nursing support across the region, YDMH is actively recruiting more nursing staff and investing in upskilling the team to deliver a broader range of services.

The goal is to continue providing compassionate, high-quality care, right where people need it most, in their homes.

YDMH currently provide a range of essential healthcare services in the home, including wound care, hygiene assessments, blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring, and medication assistance and injections.

As the service grows, YDMH aims to extend the services to include palliative care support, PICC line access and care, antibiotic administration, complex wound dressings, expanded catheter management, PEG tube care and feeding support, and oncology support.

The District Nursing Service is available to people of all ages.

Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or supporting an aging loved one, the nurses are here to help you stay safe and well at home.

YDMH primarily services the Murrindindi Shire, but we recognise that health and wellbeing don’t stop at boundary lines. We’re committed to working closely with clients on the borders of surrounding shires, as well as with other health services, to ensure …
