Murrindindi case numbers on the way down

ONLY two new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Murrindindi Shire in the 24 hours to noon on January 27, with 55 active cases.

The number of active cases is well down on the 136 active cases recorded last Friday, January 21, a day when there were 41 cases. 517 cases of COVID-19 have occurred in Murrindindi Shire since the pandemic began.

13,755 new cases were recorded in Victoria today. There are currently 1057 cases in hospital in the state, of which 40 are on a ventilator.

35 per cent of people aged over 18 in Victoria have received their third vaccine dose. 93 per cent have received their second dose.
