THE Murrindindi Mobile Health Van was deployed to Rotary Park last week, providing timely mental health support for members of the community, following its launch at the Yea Saleyards on Wednesday, January 7.

The van is an Alexandra Events initiative funded by local community groups, individuals, and Jayco Australia, being a purpose-built outreach vehicle designed to bring essential medical and wellbeing services straight to communities across the shire, improving access to healthcare where it’s needed most. Over $114,000 was raised for the project at the Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show weekend in June of 2025.

Members of the community flocked to the Yea Saleyards to see the new van, and guest speakers included Murrindindi Shire Council Mayor Damien Gallagher, Acting Chair of Yea and District Memorial Hospital Ian Marshman, Warren Davies, The Unbreakable Farmer, Caolan O’Connor from Alexandra Events Corporation Ltd, Gerry Ryan from Jayco Australia and Andrew Embling from Victorian Livestock and Property. The keys were officially handed over by Gerry Ryan, owner and founder of Jayco Australia.
