THE Koriella Fire Brigade located at 10 Stoney Creek Road, Fawcett, is to conduct another night training exercise as part of the Koriella Fire Brigade’s annual series of ‘Night Strike’ training exercises on Friday, May 10.

The exercise will include most of the local brigades from within the Alexandra Group.

The Australian Defence Force as well as State Emergency Services (SES), Victoria Police (VICPOL) and the Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action (DEECA) have all been invited to attend again.

The exercise will be conducted in the Fawcett and Koriella areas from 6pm through to 11pm.

The exercise itself will involve local brigades ‘Turning Out’ to a lightning strike which has subsequently started a grass and scrub fire threatening building assets.

There will be no live or active grass fires, however, a Country Fire Authority (CFA) car prop will be….
