MONDAY, April 1, saw the Ride for Lily, a Live for Lily foundation cycling event, pass through Yea.

The group of 28 riders stopped for lunch, provided by the Rotary Club, before continuing their 1000 kilometre, seven day journey.

The ride is an annual event designed to raise funds for cancer research and personalised medicine programs for children with cancer, and is entirely volunteer driven.

Foundation founder, Aaron Hester, who together with his wife, Katie Hester, organised the Ride for Lily, spoke about how 100 per cent of profits from the ride make their way to cancer research.
