SACRED Heart’s year five and six students recently returned from an unforgettable adventure at Camp Manyung, where they embraced challenge, fun and friendship in the great outdoors.
Located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Camp Manyung offered senior students a wide range of exciting activities designed to build confidence, teamwork and resilience.
From heart-pounding high ropes courses to peaceful walks along the beach, every moment was packed with learning and laughter.
A standout for many was the giant swing, where students faced their fears and soared through the air with courage. The flying fox was another firm favourite, delivering a thrilling ride through the treetops.
For those looking to stretch their teamwork skills, crate climbing tested balance and communication, while the treetop adventures invited students to navigate high platforms and obstacles with steady nerves and helping hands.
The campers also enjoyed rockpooling at low tide, discovering marine life and taking time to slow down and connect with nature. Evening activities included international games like Nine in the Air, which brought lots of laughter and friendly competition.
No camp is complete without delicious food, and the students loved the chance to get hands-on in the kitchen, making their own woodfired pizzas from scratch.
Bike riding around the site’s scenic trails gave students the chance to explore and enjoy the crisp sea air, while daily beach walks were a chance to reflect and reset as a group.
