Severe weather warning issued

A severe weather warning has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for damaging winds this weekend.
 
They are expecting several cold fronts. The first, in the early hours of Saturday morning, has the bureau expecting winds 50-60km/h, with gusts up to 90km/h, particularly in higher terrain. There will be some thunderstorms around on Saturday, but not too severe and not too many.
 
Saturday night into Sunday morning will have the most vigorous cold front. 40-60mm of rain is expected across the north east ranges. It could be up to 80mm in some locations.
Snow is expected down to 500m, with flurries down to around 400m, overnight on Saturday into Sunday. Blizzards are likely in the alpine regions, and there may be hail in some parts of the state.
A third cold front will arrive later on Sunday with more damaging winds.
Condition are expected to easy early next week, with sunny conditions by Tuesday. A further wintery burst is due later in the week.
