Snobs Creek Hatchery holds annual open day

THE annual Snobs Creek Hatchery Open Day took place last Sunday, May 4, giving the public a behind the scenes glimpse into the work being done to keep our waterways stocked with all species of fish.

All three hatcheries were on display, with a planned tour route beginning in the conservation hatchery and taking attendees through the native fish hatchery and the salmonid hatchery.

Workers from the hatchery were available every step of the way to field questions to and have a chat with.
