THE school principal is a significant role in the running of an educational facility, and for Kathryn Stewart she has double the responsibility. She’s the principal of St Mary’s Primary School in Alexandra, and has now been appointed as acting principal at Sacred Heart Primary School in Yea.
Kathyn said, “Being a principal in two schools doesn’t happen a lot, however it is becoming something that can be done if required.”
Kathryn grew up in Sydney and lived in the Hunter Valley since 2014. She made the move to Victoria in 2022 to take on the role of principal at St Marys in Alexandra.

Kathryn described the change as interesting. “I’ve been splitting my time across both schools and support them both and be a face in both places.
