Yea Bowls Club into the Finals

GOING into the last round of the season, Yea held fourth place on the ladder but needed to win to guarantee a spot in the finals. Not only did they win but they catapulted into second place to gain a double chance with a 23 shot win over Tatura Hilltop.

The rink with Justin Branch skip, Darren Sherman, Terry Muller and Mick Barrott, held the lead for the entire game to win 24 to 18.

Rink two with Terry McInnes skip, Rob and Maureen Marks, and Viv Cavanagh were in trouble early, down 0 to 14 but staged a truly remarkable comeback to finally go down by only two shots 17 to 19.

Rink three with Maurie Finn skip, Neil Rieschieck, Barb Tanner, and Angela Finn were also down two to six early but managed to completely dominate from that point on to win by 19 shots: 28 to nine.
